Last night, about 1:00 am, my parents noticed that the hall by the bathroom was full of water. But the bathroom was dry. They figured out that it was coming from the floor near the bathroom and turned off the cold water. They then used towels to soak up the flood.

This morning I went into my Dad's office to turn on the wireless network. The rug squooshed. The flood reached here, too. Unfortunately, that room is full of STUFF. The good news is that the rug soaked up the water so it didn't reach the electronic stuff. I carried out what I could, and have towels on the rug, but it is saturated.

I don't know when they're going to get a plumber here, but I'm definitely going to speak to the super in person when I go out in a little while.

I am not looking forward to the inevitable mold. We can't just toss all the wet papers -- some of them have to be shredded, so we have to let them dry, then shred them before we toss them.

Arrgh. Time to replace towels before I go. Laundry will definitely be necessary later.

At least we have two bathrooms.
