I left work early today with an allergic migraine.

It's been years since I've had one of these 'sick headaches'. The pain itself isn't much worse than I've had with bad sinus headaches. It's the 'volume and brightness of the world are turned all the way up' that's the killer.

The trigger seemed to be the patron I was helping who reeked of tobacco. If he had just asked a question from the other side of the desk it would probably have been okay, but I had to go help him on the computer for several minutes. More than once.

It strikes me that on the rare occasions I have these, it's seems to be a gray, rainy day. Maybe there's a mold trigger involved.

In any case, I came home and went to bed. Sleep did its usual wonder cure, once I was able to relax despite hearing the blood rushing through my veins.

Just as well, tomorrow is going to be a busy day at work.
